Over winter break 2023-2024 my dad and I worked of two end tables for our family lake house. They are made out of 6/4 oak and stained fruitwood. The thick wood ensured we followed in the tradition of making heavy furniture. We also turned the knobs on the lathe. The drawer boxes are made of maple in one and poplar sice that what we had on hand. We ended up having an amazing joint across the two boards that make up the table top.
