Freshman year as I learned hardware design on the solar car team and I wanted to do a personal project with it. For Christmas I got an RGB matrix but wiring to an Arduino Mega it created a rats nest of wires giving me the project of making a shield for an Arduino Mega to make wiring clean. I designed the project in Altium Designer. The board is designed to work with different sizes of matrixes controlled by a hardware switch and has reverse polarity protection. This was my first hardware design project I completed by myself.
